Johan’s design was inspired by the natural action of “scooping” salad with one’s hands. He describes his set of salad servers as a “combination of intersecting curves because it integrates well with the concave shape of the scoop.” The utensils are held by hooking one’s fingers into the slots, with the top edge of the server in the palm of your hand. Either one or both halves can be used. The servers are seen as extensions of the hand.
